On this page
This page explains, step by step, how we decide whether an offer appears on onlinebetfree.co.uk and how we keep listings accurate. We would rather list fewer offers than list one we cannot stand behind.
1. We check the licence
Before any operator appears on the site, we check that it holds a current licence from the Gambling Commission by searching the Commission’s public register. We confirm that the licence is active and that the website we would link to is listed against it. If we cannot match an operator to the register, we do not list it.
You can run the same check yourself: search the operator’s name, licence number or web address on the public register at gamblingcommission.gov.uk.
2. We read the terms in full
We read the full terms and conditions of every offer – not just the summary on a landing page. That includes the general promotional terms that many operators publish separately. We are looking for anything that affects what you would actually receive, such as:
- eligibility (for example, new customers only, or one offer per person or household);
- minimum deposit and qualifying stake;
- minimum odds for qualifying bets and for using any tokens;
- the number and value of free bet tokens or spins;
- whether the free bet stake is returned with winnings;
- wagering requirements, eligible games and game weighting;
- maximum stakes while a bonus is active and any cap on winnings;
- expiry periods;
- payment methods that do not qualify.
If the terms are unclear or contradict the headline, we do not list the offer until that is resolved.
3. We show the significant terms next to every offer
The conditions that are likely to affect your decision are shown alongside the headline of every offer we list – not hidden behind a link or a pop-up. We describe offers in plain English and we do not use words like “risk-free” or present promotions as a way to make money.
4. We show when an offer was last checked
Every offer listing shows a last-checked date, so you can see how recent our information is. Operators can change or withdraw promotions at any time, so the operator’s own terms always take precedence over our summary. Please read them before you sign up.
5. We remove expired offers
When an offer ends or changes, we remove or update the listing. If you spot an offer on our site that is out of date or that does not match the operator’s terms, please tell us via our contact page and we will review it.
6. We tell you how we are paid
onlinebetfree.co.uk is funded by affiliate commission. If you open an account through a link on our site, we may receive a payment from the operator. This does not change the terms the operator gives you, and it does not decide whether an offer is listed or how we describe it. Our affiliate disclosure appears on every page that features offers.
What we do not do
- We do not take bets or hold customer funds.
- We do not offer tips or predictions.
- We do not list operators that are not licensed by the Gambling Commission.
- We do not market to anyone under 18, and our content is written for adults only.
Safer gambling
Promotions are designed to encourage gambling, so we include information on safer gambling throughout the site. If you choose to claim an offer, set a deposit limit first and only spend what you can afford to lose. Affiliate disclosure: onlinebetfree.co.uk may receive a commission if you open an account through links on this page. This does not affect the offers we list or how we describe them, and it never changes the terms a bookmaker gives you.
