Quick take: Champions Arsenal are second, three points behind Man City, and have won six of seven with four clean sheets. Everton lost for the first time this season against Chelsea last weekend, but they’re unbeaten away from home. Arsenal are clear favourites; the question is how many chances David Moyes’ side will allow.

Arsenal v Everton team news
Arsenal: William Saliba (back) and Christos Tzolis (hamstring) were ruled out of the midweek Champions League trip to Bayern Munich. Mikel Arteta said Piero Hincapié “can be available for Everton” if he trains well this week, and Martín Zubimendi is back after an ankle problem. One preview site also reports Ben White and Jurriën Timber are out, which would leave Arsenal short at right-back, but we couldn’t confirm that on an official Arsenal update – FotMob lists Saliba as back in training. Check the line-up before betting on defensive player markets.
Everton: The Liverpool Echo reports Moyes confirmed Jarrad Branthwaite picked up a knock and has been moving gingerly; Jake O’Brien or Michael Keane could step in. Ainsley Maitland-Niles, facing his old club, may lose his place at right-back. Christian Nørgaard, another former Arsenal player, made his Everton debut off the bench last weekend. Some sites list Vitalii Mykolenko as out with a knock, while others list him as fit – we couldn’t confirm.
Form
Arsenal (last five, most recent last): W 2-1 v Chelsea, W 2-0 at Sunderland, L 0-3 at Brighton, W 2-1 v Leeds, W 1-0 at Nottingham Forest. Their only defeat was the 3-0 at Brighton. They’ve won all three home league games, scoring seven and conceding two.
Everton (last five): D 2-2 v Man Utd, D 0-0 at Tottenham, W 1-0 v Ipswich, D 2-2 at Hull, L 0-2 v Chelsea. Everton have drawn four of seven and are unbeaten away (D3 – at Bournemouth, Spurs and Hull). They’ve scored eight goals in total, so they rarely blow teams away.
Head-to-head
Arsenal won both league games last season: 1-0 at Everton and 2-0 at the Emirates. Arsenal went on to win the 2025/26 title, while Everton finished 13th.

Arsenal v Everton prediction and betting tips
These are our opinions on how the match might go, not certainties. Football is unpredictable, and any bet can lose. Only stake what you can afford to lose.
Result: Arsenal at home against a side that has scored only eight goals is the kind of game they usually control. The prices will be short. If you’re looking for value, Arsenal to win and keep a clean sheet is a common market for games like this – but Everton haven’t been beaten away yet, so don’t treat it as a formality.
Goals: Both teams’ games have been low-scoring: Arsenal’s average under 2.3 goals per game and Everton’s around 2.1. A low-scoring Arsenal win looks more likely than a goal-fest. Under 3.5 goals fits the pattern.
Both teams to score: Arsenal’s defensive record makes ‘no’ the natural view, though injuries at the back could change that – check whether Saliba and Hincapié start.
Midweek effect: Arsenal’s Champions League trip to Munich comes before this. Arteta has rotated, so expect some changes to the starting line-up.
