Quick verdict
SBK is a sportsbook app from Smarkets, the betting exchange company. Its help centre is thorough on payments, with a clear table of limits and timings and – unusually – PayPal on the list, though with a higher £25 minimum. The welcome offer needs a £10 first bet at odds of at least 3.0, which is a higher bar than most rivals, and the tokens expire after only five days. Existing Smarkets Exchange users can’t claim it. One point to understand: on the Gambling Commission register, SBK’s domains sit under Smarkets (Malta) Limited’s licence, which is a betting intermediary licence – see below.

SBK’s “Welcome bonus explained” article (updated 29 September 2026) sets out the following. Quoted or closely paraphrased:
- New customers only; residents of the UK, Republic of Ireland or Malta. One offer per person, family, household, email address, IP address or shared computer.
- Open a new SBK account, deposit via debit card, bank transfer or Trustly, and place a minimum £10 bet at minimum odds of 3.0.
- Free bet tokens are credited within 48 hours of the qualifying bet settling. The currency table shows a £40 bonus for a £10 qualifying bet in GBP; distribution of free bets may vary by jurisdiction.
- Only users who make their first deposit after 16:00 BST on 30 September 2026 and are not existing Smarkets Exchange users can redeem it.
- Free bet stakes are not returned on winning bets.
- Unused bonuses expire after 5 days.
- Deposits by PayPal, virtual or prepaid cards (including virtual Monzo cards) or e-wallets such as Skrill, Paysafe and Neteller won’t qualify. Only physical debit card, bank transfer or Trustly deposits are eligible.
A 3.0 minimum on the qualifying bet means your £10 is more likely to lose than at evens – only bet at those odds if you’d want that bet anyway. The five-day expiry is also short. Odds and features
SBK comes from Smarkets, whose exchange is known for low commission, but SBK is a separate fixed-odds sportsbook app and we haven’t verified how its prices are set or compared them. We also couldn’t verify cash out or a bet builder on official pages; our bet builder explainer covers how those generally work.

SBK is app-first: its help centre describes tapping Deposit at the top right and checking your Promo balance under “Funds” at the bottom of the app. We didn’t test it for this review.
