UK casinos that take PayPal include MrQ and PlayOJO: both confirm PayPal deposits and withdrawals on their own pages (re-checked 23 October 2026). Both have a £10 minimum PayPal deposit, and both only pay out to PayPal if you deposited with it. Midnite doesn’t list PayPal among its payment methods. Some welcome offers exclude PayPal deposits, so read the significant terms before you deposit.

PayPal is a popular way to pay at online casinos because you don’t need to share your card details with the casino and withdrawals are often fast. But not every UK casino accepts it, and several big names have dropped it. This list only includes casinos whose own pages confirmed PayPal when we checked on 20 October 2026 (MrQ and PlayOJO re-checked on 23 October 2026).

What should you know before paying by PayPal at a casino?

  • Closed loop: most casinos only let you withdraw to PayPal if you deposited with it.
  • Offer exclusions: some casinos exclude e-wallets from welcome offers. MrQ says PayPal deposits qualify; always check the significant terms.
  • No credit cards: since 14 April 2020, you can’t gamble using a credit card, including through a PayPal account funded by a credit card.
  • Verification: your PayPal account must be in your name, and the first withdrawal may need ID checks.

Which UK rules apply to casino offers?

  • 10x wagering cap. Since 19 January 2026, a licensed operator must not apply a wagering requirement of more than 10 times to bonus funds (Gambling Commission, LCCP Social Responsibility Code 5.1.1(3a)). The Commission’s own example of the old problem: a £10 bonus at 50x meant £500 of play before you could withdraw.
  • No mixed-product promotions. From the same date, a single incentive can’t combine betting, casino, bingo and lottery (SR Code 5.1.1(3b)). The Commission says “Spend £5 on casino products and get 20 spins” is compliant, but “Bet £5 and get 20 free spins” is not.
  • Slot stake limits. The most you can stake per online slot game cycle is £5 if you’re 25 or over and £2 if you’re 18–24. The £5 limit started on 9 April 2025 and the £2 limit on 21 May 2025. These limits apply to online slots only, not to roulette, blackjack or other table games.
  • No credit cards. Since 14 April 2020, licensed operators can’t accept credit card payments for online gambling, including through e-wallets funded by a credit card.

Staying in control

Casino games are fast and continuous. Before you claim any offer, set a deposit limit (UK-licensed casinos must give you the tools), decide how much you’re prepared to lose, and turn on reality checks. Never deposit more to “unlock” a bonus you weren’t planning to play for anyway. If you want a break from all UK-licensed gambling sites at once, GamStop is free and lets you self-exclude for 6 months, 1 year or 5 years. The National Gambling Helpline (0808 8020 133) is free and confidential. More help is on our responsible gambling page.
